• THE TRUTH PROJECT 13 week video series put out by Focus on the Family to encourage Christians in their faith. Wednesday, September 1st  at 10:00 am – 11:30 am in the main sanctuary.  Lesson 13.  ”Community and Involvement:  God cares – do I? ”.   All are welcome.
• PERSPECTIVES ON THE WORLD CHRISTIAN MOVEMENT Tuesdays, August 31st thru December 14th. 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm.  Stop by the table in the courtyard or  see brochure in church office. Sign-up @ www.perspectives.org.
• MOTHERS OF GRACE Come on out Wednesday, September 1st from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, in room 6 and bring your little ones for a time of fellowship and encouragement with other mommies.  Refreshments are provided.  Children ages 5 and under are welcome.  We meet the first Wednesday of every month.
• CREATION SCIENTIST, DR. THOMAS KINDELL Wednesday, September 1st, 7:00 pm.  He’ll be speaking on “The Worldwide Geologic Evidence of the Genesis Flood”.  Bring a friend!
• COLLEGE AND CAREER GROUP Come join us for  “The Truth Project”.  Sunday nights starting September 12, 2010 at 6:30 pm.  We will have a time of worship followed by lessons from The Truth Project.
• PRAY FOR OUR UPCOMING MISSION’S TRIPS: Oaxaca:  September 4 – 11th.  Brazil:  September 23rd – October 3rd.  Gleanings:  November 7th – 13th.
• ISRAEL TRIP 2011 If you are interested in going on the trip there are brochures in the church office and there will be a meeting in the near future. Talk to Pastor Richard for more information.
• CALVARY BOOKSTORE New stuff coming in every week!  Have you seen it?  Don’t miss our great deals on the sale table … and in the store, too!  And if you don’t see what you want, we can probably order it for you.

service opportunities

• CHILDREN’S MINISTRY The Children’s Ministry is looking for excited and committed Christians to serve weekly in our Sunday school rooms and monthly in our Nursery and Toddler rooms on Sunday mornings or on Wednesday evenings. See Mark & Sonia in the Sunday School Office.  Must be attending CCE for 6 months or more.
• LOCAL OUTREACH Love your community through Alternatives Women’s Center, Camp Alandale, Dorcas Circle (knitting & sewing), Matthew 25 (Biker Ministry), Nursing Home Ministry, Most Excellent Way, Julian Oaks Youth Ministries, Good News Clubs and Capilla Calvario (Spanish Ministry).  Information on each of these ministries is available in the courtyard by the hospitality table.
